I called up and inquired about the fibreglass special that Paul A.
had found listed in the local "Want-Ad Press." The car body is
NOT a Peerless or Warwick GT as someone suggested. The body is
one of 7 made by someone in the UK in the 50's who wanted to
"go into production", but never did. The builder originally
had the body on some type of Anglia powered club racer in the UK.
When he moved to Canada, he brought the fibreglass shell only and
then intended to mate it to a rolling TR-3 chassis. That is
the current condition, the mating was never completed.
The body is a coupe/fastback configuration.
Cost for the package (no engine) is $1500. The current owner also
has an engine ($250), a brand new (NOS) Kastner 'C' cam and some
other competition stuff (Cam plus stuff $250), and a modified
cylinder head to Kastner specs (cc'd, flow tested, etc $350).
The contact phone number is 201-857-2544 (Bob Taylor).
The car is in Verona, NJ which is about 10 to 15 miles due west
of New York City.
