If you have unleaded gas availabel in three grades like at my local
Chevron station, the middle grade is fine.  Yes, overdrives can be slow
to engage, but check the oil level in the gearbox, it may be low.  The
seats are indeed meant to be bent, check the other side for the same
bend reversed.

And lastly, you are right, there is no reason for air conditioning in
a TR6.  Tear out all the stuff and send it to me, I'll make sure it gets
disposed of properly ;-)
