I thought some of you might be interested in this add-on for greater
pick-up when some non-LBC challenges you at a red light... :-)
In the Reader Exchange section on p.20 of this month's issue of ASTRONOMY
the following ad might be found. I almost fell off my chair when I
saw, in amongst the used Celestron and Meade telescopes, this:
FOR SALE -- Two X-15 rocket engines, 60,000 pounds thrust,
with manual. Bids accepted, starting at $15,000. Contact Ken
Mason, 90 Pinecrest Dr., Applegate, CA 95703. Phone (916)
878-0180.
Follow that! You should get a minimum 30g+ out of them... :-)
Hmmm, those and the Land Rover... Maybe the race with a certain TR-8 might
not have to be in a swamp. Send on the Acura NSX & Jaguar XJ220, though I
don't think the LR will corner very well... Well, who cares, 0 ->60 in
under .1 seconds... :-)
