Could you Chaps give me your opinion on what I should do!
I want to build a fast, town drivable motor for my Midget. Last year I tried
to do this but i am NOT impressed with the results. So I am going to do it
again
but hopefully get it right.
I have a late 1300 Spit lower half and a 1500 Midget/Spit head skimmed down
alot.
Should I stay with the 1300 displacement and tune it to the max OR should I
get a 1500 block and crank and tune it to the max. I intend getting new pistons
and everything else is interchangable.
With 1500 lower half i will have a very high CR (about 10:1 I estimate).
The advatages with keeping the 1300 is that I have had the crank balanced
and I would not have to buy the 1500 parts for beaucoup $$ (unless Will
Woodruf)still has a cheap 1500 for sale???).
So what is best for a torquey (not to be confussed with a seaside resort in
SW UK) fast street motor which I rarely winde up past 5K revs??
Cheers DW
