Well hello to everyone. I am working again. I will not bore anyone with the
trials of being a house husband for 6 weeks. But I am now a customer support
engineer. Will be spending the next few weeks getting trained on the
application
My thanks to all who were pulling for me. Teriann, your encouragement was a
great help. It is nice to know that others had been through similar
experiences.
To the BC stuff.
We took some of the severance money and got the Jag running. You remember
"Mouse
the Jag that will roar." She is roaring very nicely now. Had to flush the fuel
line, rebuild the carbs, new points, spark wires etc. I woke up one night to
realize that the battery had been hooked up backward since I bought the car 2
years ago. I had not checked such a trivial thing. How do you suppose the car
even ran with some electrons pulling and some pushing? Anyway the electrical
system has been repolarized and things are going swimmingly.
The bad news is that Mouse is up for sale. Any one want a complete and running
Mark 1? Needs serious interior work. The hides are rotten. Wood work needs
help.
Body has some rust in the doors, but generally sound. Does not have any major
damage.
I have not found any indication of a major shunt. We are asking $3750. If you
are interested mail should be able to reach me, althought that has not been
tested yet. Home phone is (503) 629-5726.
