Hi, I'm new to the list.
I signed up because I am thinking of buying my first MGB
convertible and would like to know of what things to look
for to know if it is a good car or not. I would also like to
find out what would constitute a really good car and how
much I should expect to pay.

I could also use a little history on the car like what years
Moto Guzzi (sp?) made them and what the options are.

This one is in pieces in a body shop that is owned by a guy
that specializes in British cars and drives an MGB him self.
He has 3 MGs and 1 Austin martin mini in his shop so it
looks like he knows what he is doing.

The body doesn't have any rust, a real plus because most
cars here in Portland OR do. The body is straight except
for a little bondo on the right rear fender.

He said that he'll want $5000. when he is finished putting
it back together. Is this a real high price? I have seen
others go for around $3000 dollars in the paper but haven't
          actually seen them.

          Thanks

          Bill_Lemmons@ccm.hf.intel.com
