My order for the book "Total Tuning for the Classic MG Midget & AH
Sprite" from Classic Motorbooks arrived this week ($19.95 + ship & Tax).
Here's what it contains:
How to modify your Spridget for fast road or track performance, More
than 100 modifications to give your Spridget 1990's performance,
brakes, suspension, wheels & Tyres, steering, carburettor
conversions & fuel injection, ignition system, engine lubrication &
oil coolers, exhaust system, clutch, gearbox, drivetrain,
instruments & electrical components, body, basic competition
preparation, tuning & development by dyno, profiles of competition
Spridgets, insurance, specialists suppliers & clubs. Over 190
pictures, all models and years.
I found the section on the conversion to power assist brakes quite
interesting. I've never considered power brakes for my Sprite! I'm along way
from thinking about power brakes. The car is in parts. My most recent project
was to install a ring gear on the flywheel (without the proper Weber grill
tool, I used my torch). I've got along way to go, but I'm having fun.
