In response to this: I just think its kind of ironic to hear you spouting off 
about your wonderful
british car, when its really another Japanese econo-rocket. 

he old Lotus cars were NOT econo Jap jobs.  And they would have still blown the
socks off any characterless high production Miata.  The older Lotus cars and the
cars like the Lotus sunbeam etc I think used a Ford (made in UK) block with a 
Lotus twin cam head.

Why Knock the Lotus so much???  I can understand knocking the Miata.
