Well,
This came across my desk and I thought that I'd pass it along to the
the brit list.
I can't vouch for how accurate this is, but, you can decide for yourselves.

What Your Car's Color Reveals
by Paul A. Eisenstein
-reprinted without permission-
Race-car red...Neon Yellow...Metallic Blue...Wintry White...Brentwood Brown.
Your choice of car color might be influenced by where you live, the work you
do, the car you drive--and the "real" you, psychologically speaking.
The color consultant Leatrice Eiseman of the Eiseman Center for Color
Information and Training in Seabeck, Wash., cites studies that say the
shades of colors you select may well reveal *your* true colors. Here's a
just-for-fun peek into what the experts contend your car-color choices could
reveal about you:
RED: A fire color, red is impossible to ignore. People who drive red cars
usually crave attention and are aggresive, impulsive, intense and animated.
BROWN: Often the choice of a cautious, conservative analytical personality
who probably will drive a good bargain when buying a car.
WHITE: The frequent choice of the compulsively neat, critical, detail-minded
motorist who's cautious and likes white's highly visible-therefore-safer
factor.
BLUE: The hue for those who yearn for consistency. The likely choice of an
introvert, or maybe even an extrovert who likes to be able to count on
certain things.
GREEN: Long favored by sophisticated Europeans, green is enjoying a
resurgence of popularity here. It's the color of the socially conscious and
those with a social conscience, including the conservationist/ecologist.
Green is also the color of the highly intelligent, as well as the ever-
hopeful romantic. It symbolized love and life even way back in the Middle
Ages, when drivers concerned themselves with oats rather than with octane.
TEAL: This high-fashion hybrid of blue and green has become one of the
hottest shades on the market, appealing to trendsetting extroverts craving
attention, admiration, novelty and being in step.
NEUTRALS: Taupes, beiges and grays, says Eiseman, are the colors of
noncommitment, preferred by folks who dislike standing out--or taking a
stand.
METALLICS: Silvers and the new metalflake colors transform cars into 4-
wheeled jewelry--the choice of confident, understated extroverts.
BLACK: The ultimate power-color, black is back for the self-confident
sophisticate whose chauffeur schedules frequent car washings. Black is a
car color for the individual who wishes to be taken seriously.
YELLOW: This is the color of choice for the active, the artistic and those
willing to try something new. Bright and easily seen, yellow is favored by
safety-conscious drivers.
ORANGE: Along with all the wild new neon shades, orange is the color of fun,
youth and excitement--a choice of someone gregarious, good-natured and
willing to take a ribbing.
