The float on my `80 Spitfire's fuel level sending unit seems to be drinking petrol. I took it out yesterday to see why the fuel guage had stopped working and saw that it was full of petrol. There is a tiny little hole in it which is causing all the problem. Is there a way to seal it without affecting its bouyancy. The float is made of flexible plastic and I've already tried melting the hole shut by soldering iron. Shine On Zahid |
