You might look into painting it silver instead, this would reflect the heat. There are some articles on roof radiant barriers which are basically aluminum foil over plywood, cuts heat transfer 50% or more. You should check for the original "blanket" under the carpet, my bet is this has been removed. A new one will cut the heat AND the noise. Roger |
