Crazy business that old bulb. I took it out of its rear tailight socket,
looked at it, cleaned it up some, scraped its bottom clean, tried it again,
and it still wouldn't make the blinker blink. It's also the same as
all the other bulbs back there so it's not an oddball. I put in a new bulb,
and VOILA! BLINK BLINK BLINK! Problem solved.
