Putting a small bore head on a large bore engine is a bad idea, the valves are
really restrictive, the breathing improvement from the new head alone should
justify the cost.
I got a new cam for my 1100 from seven enterprises that supposedly was really
close to the cooper 's' cam, I paid $75 with lifters included. That's a bit
on the cheap side. You can get as much power as you want depending on what
you're willing to sacrifice. Don't bother with the cam til you get rid of that
head, though.
