Right. British wiring. The only thing I can't get to work on my Spridget
is the horn(s). Every test works, but they dont work. Maybe the wiring will no
not deliver as much current as my test source.
It is not limited to cars, though. In a previous incarnation as a color
photo printer, I used a Durst MiniPrinter. This device looked like the
Coneheads. Ah, but the wiring. I swear that the smallest wire in the
whole thing was the main power supply! It was microscopic, while other
wires downstream, running at the same voltage, were heavy-duty. I used
to think that they built these things with whatever was at hand that day.
It was British, all right. One of the three that we had used to hang up on
the green filter. Made your print awfully dark, and awfully magenta. The
only way to get it to go again was to heal it a good one righ on the cone-
head. Drove new people nuts when I showed them the "X" I had drawn on the
cone where to hit it.
