Didn't we do this a while back? Mark, did you by chance save the responses?

For running around town, I have a canvas tool roll, salvaged from my
gone-but-not-forgotten Mercedes. It contains

        Philips/Standard reversible screwdriver
        1/2-9/16 wrench
        combination wrenches: 1/2, 7/16, 9/16
        8" crescent wrench
        slip joint pliers
spark plug wrench and tommy bar
        needlenose pliers with side cutters

There's also a box with a quart of oil and some duct tape, and some
electrical spares, and a fan belt in with the spare tyre.

For the long trip to Boulder for the VTR convention, I took my complete
socket set (it's in a convenient case) and my larger-but-still small
toolbox, my 3 lb sledge and torque wrench, a full set of electrical and
ignition spares, brake fluid, more duct tape. All the hoses were less
than a year old, so I didn't take any spares. I considered putting
together the full "continental touring kit" that Triumph used to offer,
but stopped short of spare valves and valve springs. If I drive to
Cincinnati this year, though, I'll probably take them, too.
