and Accelerator Pumps, Inc., I met a friend of Miq
("Hey mister, your lights are popped up but they're
not on!") Millman. This fellow, Marc Greening, talked
with me about a number of interesting topics ranging
from wine to race cars, and ended up with a request.
Marc has a couple of Austin Americas, one of which
he is considering modifying for SCCA GT-class racing.
I mentioned the pair of Americas that I've seen from
time to time in SFR, and Marc wanted to know how to
get in touch with them or whether someone might have
parts or technical advice. We came up with what sounds
like a working replacement for the Hydro-Spastic suspension,
using Carrera coil-overs and welding in Heim joints
in the appropriate locations, but it's all gedankensuspension
at this point, and we'd like to hear from someone who's
done it.
