Barry Klawans asked about oil/fluid to use in his TR-8 gearbox since his service manual cautions on using anything heavier than 75W oil. The 1981 Shop Manual supplement for the TR-8 lists ATF Automatic Transmission Fluid as the recommended gearbox lubricant. I don't have a copy with me, but I believe I have a copy of a Triumph service bulletin which recommended changing to ATF in any TR-8 gearbox. Bill Sohl |
