foot-pounds

I'm afraid there is a slight confusion
there are 2 types of foot-pounds,
torque, which is a measurement of force multiplied by the length of the
         lever arm
and work, or energy
which is a measure of force times distance.

remeber :
work = F * D
F    = M * A
therefore 
work = M * A * D

which is what I am whenever I have to work.
