We ahve seen lists of neat East coast events. To add balance here are some
west coast events {at least ones I'm planning to attend}
Aug 11 {Sat} Moss Motors TR Marque day. Besides lots of TRs & 10% discount,
there is a flea market {Never know when you will come across a good flea} and
this is when Moss dumps its seconds, incomplete items at a MAJOR discount.
I plan to be there with my TRBGT ;*)
Aug 17 -> 19 Monterey Historic Races Whew!!! Where else can you walk the
pits & say "Hmm, just another Testarrosa 250
Sept 1 & 2 Portland all British Car meet {Hay folks why have I NOT recieved
my preregistration packet for this event yet????}
Sept 9 Palo Alto All British car meet. {Where else can you say "Oh just
another '40s Bently"
I will probably bring the Land Rover to both British car meets. The Land Rover
club in the Pacific Northwest has a great bunch of people in it.
MGs that shake rattle & roll
Find a front end alingment place that does free inspections & have them take a
peek at your MG. I suspect that you will find worn out bushings &/or??
RE: English garage in South Bay area.
Try British Sport cars Sales & Service & Parts.
3033 El Camino
Santa Clara
(408)341-5555
While getting your car worked on ask the owner when he will get the floor &
sills replaced in that primer gray TR3 in the cornor.
Steve Chase, the owner is knowledgable & generally does good work. Most of the
members of the Triumph Travelers use his company when they need service.
RE: My outburst Fri evening about DOL {Daughters of Lucas ... Those menfolk
in the group could just think of daughters in the generic humanity sense ....}
Sorry about flaming every one to bits. By the time I calmed down it was too late
not to send it. My appologies.
Maybe I need to go on a long vacation. Anyone care to donate a BJ8 so I can
motor off in a relaxed state of mind?????
