For those of you local to the New England area - here are directions to
The Museum of Transportation at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline, MA.
After passing The Mall at Chestnut Hill on the left (just after the Atrium
on the right) there are another five lights until you turn off. Just before
the 5th light look for a Texaco station on the left followed by a Citgo on
the right. Make sure you are in the right hand lane when coming into the 5th
light's intersection (which is a five-way intersection). Spot the 25 mph speed
limit sign on the right - that is a slight right hand turn away from the RT 9
traffic headed into Boston). That slight right hand turn puts you onto Lee St.
Just follow Lee St. which turns into Clyde St. until you come to a "T" inter-
section. Turn left at the "T" intersection onto Newton St. and then bear right
at the fork onto Pond St. The MOT will be on your left just before the town
line for Boston.
exit which takes you toward Fenway Park (RT 1 South). Do not take the Kenmore
exit - but, if you do, just go straight and do not turn right into Kenmore Sq.
You can recover by taking the up ramp on the other side of Commonwealth Ave.
Now that you are on the overpass, bear right, and go toward Fenway Park down
Boylston St. You will come to a five-way intersection with Brookline St.
Here you can bear right and follow the signs for the Jamaica Way or Rt 1 south,
or suffer a few more lights and get onto Brookline St. until it intersects
with the Jamaica Way - and then turn left to get onto the Jamaica Way. Follow
Jamaica Way around Jamaica Pond on your right until you come to a circle at
the end of the Jamaica Pond. Follow the circle around staying on the right
hand side. Just beyond the circle is a traffic light. Take a right hand turn
onto Pond St. at the traffic light. Go straight for about another mile and
thru one more light. Just after you pass the sign for Brookline, The MOT is
on the right.
Hope to see all of you there! Please come up to the registration tent and
ask for me, I'll be running the Casual Concours and will look forward to
meeting you!
