Nark, This sounds like the old Metropolitan. Rambler was among the first to embrace the small car and they were very innovative at the start. The Metro was so cute and small that a lot of people thought it was a joke. It was met for around town use and borrowed a lot from the MG I had a 59 Rambler American station wagon at the time. Great parking car with front and rear seats lying flat and the driver seat being very narrow. I was too nerd like to park but the dog liked the freedom to wander from to back in the car... Michael |
