OK, here are some quotes from RedLine literature:

"Red Line Gear Oils and Transmission Lubricants are designed to provide
excellent low temperature shiftability and improved gear protection at
higher temperatures. Red Line Gear Oils will reduce gear box
temperatures from 10-70 degrees F. The Synthetic base stocks used have
tremendous thermal stability and provide the best film strength
available. The unique combination of base stocks and additives allow
Red Line Gear and Transmission oils to carry higher loads compared to
any petroleum product. The extreme stability of these products allows
them to be used for extended change intervals."

"75W90 Gear Oil - recommended for most differentials and gear boxes
which operate at high temperatures. Excellent performance in
limited-slip and posi-traction differentials."

"80W140 Gear Oil - recommended for heavily loaded differentials,
including limited slip, and where noise reduction is required."

"Light Weight Gear Oil - recommended for racing applications where
maximum power transfer isrequired. The viscosity ofthis product is
similar to ATF, but provides tremendous gear protection and no loss of
viscosity."

"MTL - designed for use in manual transmissions and manual transaxles,
especially front-wheel-drive. Provides excellent protection of gears
and sychronizers and allows easier shifting."

The number I gave (503-257-7500) is the technical assistance phone
for an outfit in Portland called IPD that specializes in performance
parts for Saab and Volvo. Their order number is 800-444-6473. All the
Red Line oils are 6.95/qt, plus shipping.
