Hello! The TR6 has been running pretty reliably for the week that I have had it now. It even passed CA smog! The tester had to adjust the carbs a bit but it passed. He said there appears to be a leak since it still ran when the mixture screws were turned to full lean. Sounds like time for a Z-S carb rebuild! At least the car is legal now. One other (of many) nagging problem is a "CLUNK" in the rear end upon acceleration and changing gears. I suspect it is either in the U-joints in the rear axle or somewhere in the diff., more likely the former. Any hints on checking this out and repairing it? Jeff Lo jlo@elan.com |
