My mailer has gone gaga, and I can't get it to include text, but
here goes.....
On the funny Alfa with the "2600" and Zagato" badges:
The 2600 range was produced between 1962 and 1968, some 12451
were produced; only 105 had the SZ (Zagato) coupe body. I know
of one in sorry shape down the street from me; it has been sitting
on blocks for 18 years that I know of, but the owner doesn't want
to part company with it.

News of the Spitfire from hell! The clutch parts have arrived and
go in this weekend!
I've asked before, but never really got an answer: Has anybody had
any success in repairing their Lucas Lord of Inconsistancy Electronic
Ignition? You can't replace it with an aftermarket unit in Smog-Plagued
California, and I would really prefer to fix it. It goes brain dead
about every twenty minutes of driving, and comes back with a bang
(As in spitting fire from the tailpipe) a few seconds later.
I saw a mention of adding a heat sink to the module. Does this cure
it, or just extend the times between failure?
