While we're on the subject of Bugeye Sprites, what modifications can be
done to make it a better running/handling car? Specifically, I've finally
gotten my hands on a '59 Bugeye that's been sitting in a garage for two
years, and I want to bring it back to good condition.
I know I need to replace the mechanical fuel pump, probably with an
electric one. (All hail Lucas, Prince of Darkness! ;-) Any suggestions
on where to get one? Would a non-British pump work?
Also, from Miq Millman (miq@sgi.com) we have:
> Does it have disk brakes in the front (not original but very desirable).

> What kind of carb set up does it have? Weber side drafts are nicer than the
> SU H2's, they are harder to adjust, but keep their adjustment longer, and add
> about 10-20 horsepower. SU H4's are nice too. the H# is the number of 1/4"
> over 1/2 inch the carbs are. So H2 is 1 inch H4 is 1 1/2 inches.
Any other suggestions?
