Hey, that's a really nice looking yellow roadster on the cover of the
latest Autoweek ("Two stroke- or not Two Stroke") Of course, if it was ever
produced, I think I have a pretty good idea of what GM will call it. After
calling their Mini copy the "Geo Metro" this car will definately have to
be named after a well known University in California. I mean the car just
screams "Berkley" all over the place. Right on down to being a two-stroke.
(I'm talking B-90 here, not the one with the Ferrari 166 nose.)
Of course, I'm sure the GM car would be a real improvement over the
original, just as that other clone, whose name I refuse to utter, has been
an improvement over MGs and Elans. Then, again, anything could be an improve-
ment over the Berkley's hard bench seat and goofy transmission!
Well, of enough of my reminicing about,"the one that got away (yeah, a
yellow B-90, the Enfield had been swapped for a snowmobile engine)"
Anyway, we British car people didn't know we had it so good! There is only
one electrical system in the world worse than Lucas, and that's Volvo's!
My car has had more electrical problems since Christmas, than either of the
2 MG's have had during the whole time I've had em. (although the B could
really use a new set of batteries, but still hold enough charge to start!)
I sure hope spring arrives soon!
