Thanks, Smoky.That station does an hour long community events program each day
so it wasn't the nightly news show. It was an interesting experience. Five of
us car club guys showed up at the studio and they told us to relax in the
"green room" with the rest of "the talent." So we sat down with the members of
a wild west show in costume, several young girls from a boutique putting on
their makeup, a dude from a surf shop, and a farmer holding a tomato plant. I
was wondering if I might be on Candid Camera!
The staff was impressed with the Bricklin though. It was a good chance to get
a little publicity. I put it in the new car show at the convention center last
year. They had a "memory lane" display of classic cars along with new ones
from every manufacturer.
Not many people know what a Bricklin is so it helps to give them some
exposure. Occasionally I will run into someone who knows all about them
because a friend of his had a Bricklin with the stainless steel body ;-)
