But how does one distinguish a restorable Bricklin from one that is for
"parting out"? They are virtually all restorable. Moreover many of the parts
that would remain after "parting it out" are arguably among the most difficult
to reproduce. The notion of a "parts" Bricklin needs to be eradicated from
thought.

Is there any Bricklin enthusiast that isclose enough to that "bone yard" to
actually go there and obtain moreinfo and/or pictures? It would be great to
see what the vehicle lookslike, restorable or just for parting out, and what
they are asking forthe whole vehicle. Surely we have some Southern California
members,don't we?

That is good to hear they do not "pull parts". In my opinion it does not
make sense to remove parts and cannibalize any Bricklin. But somebody needs
to get that car out of there before it is crushed. Unfortunately it's too
far
away for me to get it.
As for the speedometerr, why don't you just get your non op speedometer
restored? Then for the same effort you would have a like-new calibrated
speedometer rather than an unknown condition 35-year-old one.
