If your balls are OK just snap the ones out of the new ones (may be a wire
locking them in). then you can snap off the old ones and snap on the new
ones. sounds easy don't it, well it's not ! Those struts are pretty high
pressure and they are still loaded with the door all the way up. The method
I use to install them comes with lots of prying and swearing. Have fun. I
guess the easy way is to loosen the hinges and let the door slide out, snap
them on and readjust the door.
