One problem with the air latches is that they stay open with very little air
pressure. You have to install solenoids that let the air out when you release
the switch. If you don't then the latch will stay open until after the door
is completely down. As a result, you have to manually push the door open a
little and let it drop to get it to latch. Really a pain if you're the only
one
in the car and you're trying to close the passenger door. Terry sells these
solenoids but they are expensive.
