Actually, the Cuda originally started as a Plymouth Valiant, option package
that was available with a 180 hp, 273 CID engine. It was completely
redesigned in '67 and no longer shared any sheet metal with the Valiant.
In '68 both the Dodge Dart and the Cuda were available with the Super Stock
426 Hemi package. There were 80 Darts made with that package. If I had to
make a decision between those two cars back then, I would have gone for the
one with the bigger back seat.
