Dave,
I did what Rick said. I bought some 1/2" closed cell foam weather strip
with the sticky back at the hardware store. I taped the foam to the
heater so I knew I had the right area covered. However, it may be better
to tape it to the plenumn. You could run several pieces side by side to
ensure it's wide enough.
I also bought some 1/2" open cell weather striping to replace the foam seals
in the heater box it's self.
