Ok, I'll byte. How do you put the mounting "L"s on the ends of the
hood cables? I don't know how long I've been down playing with just
trying to put "L" on one end of the cross cable.
I've tried using channel locks and a jag to protect the paint on the "L".
Finally got it started, but I can't get it to pop on.
Another question, how - directionallity, and where are the "L"s mounted
to the hood latches. I've got a couple of pictures I'm looking at from
the Apil 2004 issue of The Bricklin - Les Huckins article on the Emergency
hood release cable.
The lower picture showes the one clip mounted to the outside bolt that
holds the front cover on the latch. This is for the cable from the
cockpit. I purchased all new clips. I think all of mine had the bolts
already attached to the "L". So I guess I have to drive the bolt out of
1 of the "L"s to mount it using the bolt that holds the face of the latch
on?
I played with trying to mount it to the ear on the latch, but the brake
booster is in the way.
TIA
John
