If anyone is interested, we survived hurricane Isabell. We had a lot
of damage to the total area, and about 2 million homes with out power.
We lost power at 9:00 yesterday morning and just got it back about 1/2
an hour ago.
Boy how boaring - nothing to do - can't watch TV or a movie. Just sat
around in the dark (or partial light) all day and listened to the rain
and wind.
We did venture out into the front and back yards a couple of times. Even
walked over to the neighbors house. Stood on their front pourch and talked
for about 1/2 an hour, and went for a walk around the block about 7pm last
night after the worst was over.
We had a tree come down in the back yard, went right between my shed and
one of my Sonetts. No damage to either. Luckily I cut a dead tree down
for the neighbor across the street, or that may have been in his living
room.
A good friend from work wasn't so lucky. He had a pine tree come down
over his house, right into the living room. Luckily he wasn't in the
room at the time. Went over this morning to see if I could help. He
had his brother-n-law over and they'd already sectioned the tree, gotten
it off the roof, and patched the roof. Now all he has to do is wait for
the adjusters.
Hope everyone else on the list managed to escape any major damage.

be history.
