You make a joke, but, did you know that the O.E.'s are trying to get
"flight recorder" type systems in their vehicles. They'll be able to tell
precisely how fast you were going, whether you were braking, listening
to the radio, if you were on the phone (for those with phones as options),
lighting a cigarette, etc. Currently, that functionality is limited to storing
the data in the vehicle but, with GPS, and wireless tech, that data will be
able to be transmitted to anyone who wants it, real time.
BTW, the "flight recorder" is already "standard" on Corvettes.
