Thanks to Scott Isensee, I too have a good looking steering wheel
cover. My spin, as always, was a little different, I found the same
cover in Seattle, same company, cost $8 less overall at that time. I
also removed the old cover which was a total disaster, used the 14" x 4"
dimension. It's a pretty fat steering wheel without adding more. As to
lacing, had no problem with that, what I did was tie the lacing to the
bottom spoke so that I'd have a good anchor to pull against while
lacing. The cord is waxed (?) so easy to pull several laces tight, I
snugged it up every 3 to 4 laces, you want a nice snug fit. Where I
differed from Scott, I looped the cord around the edge of the cover and
through the holes over the spokes, pretty much eliminated the pucker
factor plus continued the overall lacing pattern without the gaps. I'm
very please with it, e-mailed Scott at the time and thanked him for the
lead. It's really quite easy to do and the feel of new leather is well
worth your time.
