I received the following email this evening. Can anyone help him out.
I don't think I've ever heard of this. I know I've pulled the battery
cables on any of my old cars with no ill effects. I also seen many
cautions about NOT disconnecting the battery cables on the new "computer"
controlled car while they are running. I still don't quite understand it,
other than the battery acts like a very big capacitor to filter the AC
to pure DC.

Hi
I guess this should go to the tecnical question section.
I own brick # 935 and some thing strange happened when I moved it in to
winterstorage this year. I did want a big hassle with the battery so I just
put it in side the hatch and connected a set of booster cables between it
and the battery cables. As I was moving the car one of the cables fell off,
I thought no big deal the car will run on the alternator. However the car
speed up a little then died after about 10 seconds. After trying to start
it I discovered that the ignition box was cooked. I traced my grounds and
they are fine. I also checked my alternator out put and it's perfect. I car
runs fine, just don't disconect the battery. Has any one else discovered
this and is there a solution?
Thanks
