You would be surprised! There is a 'cult' following of the Fiesta, although
it is a utilitarian type car it handles surprising good and has a better
power to weight ratio than a bricklin. The motor are a 1600cc crossflow that
with very mild modification can produce over 150 hp and still be totally
streetable and blow away Cameros and 5 liter Mustangs (stop light to stop
light). The only problem is the 'import' craze started 20 yrs after the car
stopped being imported.
The cult is not a fringe group either there are probably twice as many
fiesta owners in north America as bricklin owners, if you take in world wide
there are thousands or millions times more (car has been produced since
1978).
Not that I want to get off topic, just that when you want to pick on a car,
make it one worth picking on, like the Pacer, Corvair etc. These cars also
have a following that would probably laugh at your bricklin.
Moral of the story...... people in glass houses (or acrylic cars) shouldn't
throw stones!
> Yes but did any one ever say WOW is that a Ford Fiesta?....cool. :)
