I was once told by someone on the list that the '74s did not have the same
overheating problem as the '75s. The person indicated that in '75, there
were some changes in the front of the car to accommodate the different
engine and they, apparently, contribute to a hotter engine compartment. I
don't have specifics but perhaps if that person is still here they can
elaborate.

Ok, I'm learning. John Lindstrom said he had an overheating problem and
put on a bigger radiator and the overheating stopped, I thought there
might be a connection. Also, no air scoop in the front, I read that was
important in cooling...not so?
Why would a '75 get hotter than a '74? Power train was changed but
surely not the radiator, was it? How do you make a case for that?
Water pump not turning as fast as the '74? Less circulation in the Ford
block? What?
