If your car is a 75, there should be a short curved track that runs vertical
and attaches to the front of the window via a small roller. for some unknown
reason they were missing on one of my 75's and I had the same problem as
you. this small track positions the window for and aft in the 75's. I have a
couple of the tracks but non of the rollers.
