Hi;
Back in 1983, I used a 3M structural adhesive called 2216-BA (gray)
which is an epoxy (mix parts A & B), apply and clamp for 24 hrs. Not
one spot (which were mostly on the door skins) has let loose. Good
stuff. I don't know where to get it other than calling 3M directly. I
have an uncle who (still) works for 3M and he told their glue
specialists what I needed. They came up with this and gave me a
sample. They also gave me another sample which I didn't ever use called
3459, also an epoxy. Well, 19 years is pretty permanent. It's still
holding too.
Amo,
#1207 - green (painted ruby red)
plus gray structural adhesive, but not visible.
