Well, I thought I'd fire up the Bricklin this past weekend, so I
opened the hood so I could actuate the carb from outside, opened the
window, reached in and turned the key. A light came up on the dash,
but nothing else happened.
Thinking the relatively new battery was low I jumper'd from one of the
new little jump start packs (these things have TMF (Thin Metal Film)
batteries, weigh about 7 pounds, and can pump out > 1,500 amps. I
then turned the key (yes I had + to + and - to -)! I heard a sizzle
sound and then nothing - no lights on the dash any more!!! Is there a
fuseable link somewhere I should check? I seem to remember this same
problem happening years ago when the Brick was my daily driver, but I
don't recall how I solved this problem. Suggestion/thoughts welcome!
