Well, I'm not 100% sure what the "proper" way to break in an engine is,
but I've always known it as: baby the engine for the first 500 miles (no
hard accels, and keep the cruising speed below 70mph). As for changing 
the oil, you're going to be breaking in the engine for these miles so after
the first 500, change the oil and away you go...
