For the engine paint, check with Bill Hirsch (spelling?) they make a very
wide variety of engine paints that are very good quality. They do mail order
but I can't seem to find their #(check Hemmings).

For the exhaust Manifold, If you are getting them done in a cast grey
finish(original look), send what you have, BUT if you want to get them in
the shiny silver stuff (hot rod)do yourself a favour and grind them
smoooothe. Manifolds that are left in their natural roughness DO NOT look
good in the shiny finish! I speak from experience, I do these coatings every
day up here in the Great White North, and manifolds that are done in the
shiny finish (sterling or what ever they are calling it this week) that are
not detailed first look like crap! rough manifolds look just fine in cast
grey. If you want to smooth the cast iron DO NOT USE A STONE GRINDER!! they
cut too fast and deep leaving the manifolds looking like junk! You can use a
standard body grinder but use no coarser than a 80 grit disc. you can use a
die grinder but again the coarsest you should go is 80 grit, 100 or 120 is
even better as it leaves smaller scratches. Cast iron is very soft and
gouges easy so be careful, take your time and do a good job. Prep is what
shows, all defects look bigger once they get shiny.
