I just removed the rear hatch to shim/align and cleaned all the old glue
out of the trough.
A gasket scraper and scotch brite pad worked great- the whole job took
an hour.
I believe KM had an article on fixing the rear quarter windows using
black RTV silicon.
( I did this and it worked very well). My question is: could I use the
same stuff to reattach
the hatch molding? I would think that a small bead all the way around
the inner lip of the outside molding flap would eliminate water getting
in. Any thoughts?
