The biggest problem I ran across was keeping air in the system. This
includes leaks and compressors. The compressor and hose technology is much
better now. take a look in a sport truck or import car magazine and look at
all the ads for compressors, lines, fittings, switches. These parts are
mostly DOT approved for air ride suspension use so they should be just dandy
for Brick door use. Compressors run from $99-599, depending on the volume
and pressure. The big compressors and solenoids are not needed for your
brick unless you want to make the front end jump.
The only other problem I found was chunks of teflon tape stuck in the
solenoids. I would suggest using loctite PST. this is a pipe sealant with
teflon. Be sure to buy the one in the tube, it is waterbased, and the parts
can be removed. the stuff in the can is solvent based and looks like it may
be difficult to get apart. Those are the only problems I have come across
that are specific to air doors. The switches and wiring are the same so
there should no extra problems there just the normal brick ones.
