hydraulic pump cross reference

I have the original hydraulic doors on #1896.  The pump is bad.  I
remember someone saying that you could use a Mustang convertible pump.
Is this correct?  If so, what years?  I have a local salvage yard that
said they have a 1990 GT convertible. I could the the pump for about
$40.  Will this work?

I may not sell it after all.  I broke down and traded one of my other
cars for a SUV yesterday.  This made my wife happy .
