I have put windows in and out of my car a few more times than I care to
remember. But, if I understand you correctly, the issue is with the
regulator and the small track. When you install the window (assuming that
the track attached to the window is correctly positioned), you pry the
opening up a little and slide the window in. Then you sort of get the
window into the tracks somewhere near the middle and you slide the regulator
in and the first wheel into the track and then the second.
Meanwhile, you have the little track that is attached by two smallish bolts.
You have to coordinate attaching that and attaching the 4 bolts that hold
the crank part of the regulator. It is hard to do sometimes, but when it is
done right, it sort of forces the window into the tracks and holds it there.
When I did it I found it easier to do the little track thing first (just
start the bolts and leave loose for the play) and do the main one second.
You will find that by turning the window crank it allows different bolts to
be inserted. I doubt that it would work at all if that little track is
located somewher new and, I bet, that even though it looks like it doesn't
work, it really does. If you have more questions, write and I will help if
I can. Kim
