I guess it comes down to a matter of opinion.
My vote is 2897 is the real deal.

 from extra parts.  The problem is which was the last official car built.  
Was 
 it the original factory car, 2897 or the one built by the bankruptcy people

 This is still the mystery that will never be resolved.
