the two cars are approaching each other at 120 mph. 
V1-(-V2)=120mph

If both cars are exactly the same weight their velocity is 0mph after
the crash. So if one car is traveling at 120mph and hits a wall and
after the crash its velocity is 0mph the two crashes are equivalent.

=120mph
